AAUUGGHH!!!

Are the Christmas Holidays over yet?!!

The kids are already at each other and driving me nuts. I took Princess Weah to get her nails and hair done and when I arrived back home the boys had square eyes from watching tv for four hours and none of chores were done.

Auugghh!!

Staff Christmas Party

Last night we attended my work Christmas party. It was held at a fine dining establishment in a near by town that is known for it's excellent perch. I love PERCH, therefore I had a lovely supper. I think I ate a whole school.

In attendance was about 38 people. I beleive that everyone had a good time and plenty to eat. So thank-you Boss Hog for the excellent supper, muchly appreciated.

Everyone but one person was able to attend. I even got to meet Melvin in person. He is the annonymous poster from JAJ site. What a nice fellow....no really. He is special. In his own kinda weird way. His friend was there too (I can't remember his name right now). Although I never saw him. I didn't want to upset Melvin so when introduced I pretended to shake his hand and make small talk. But that did upset Melvin because I was then spending more time talking to his buddy. But it was okay after awhile because I told Melvin's friend that I had a friend that would like to meet him. But Melvinette was unable to be there, she was home washing her hair. So perhaps they could chat over the internet. I'm sure they will get along fabulously!

Don't Touch the Dog!!

Today we have the local handy-man fix-it guy over to do some work around the outside of the house and barns. No, it's not husband. It's another guy we get to do construction projects around the farm that husband doesn't have time for.

When Mr. Fix-It arrived husband warned him not to touch the dog. Mr. Fix-It inquired as to why and it was explained to him that if he did the dog would become his best friend and try to "help" him by removing articles from his truck.

Husband went into the house for a few moments and when he came outside he found work gloves strewn across the yard.

Husband then said to Mr. Fix-It...."you touched the dog, didnt' you?"

Sure enough, even as husband was standing there talking to the gentleman, Trixie came up took one look at Mr. F, grabbed another glove and ran off.

So the moral of the story is "Don't Touch the Dog!"

Broken Bumm

HELP!! I think I broke my bumm!! No, seriously! It really hurts.

You see, we have started renovating our bathroom/ laundry room. Ya, I know what you are thinking. "Right before Christmas...are you nuts!"

Well, two nights ago Husband decided to do some investigating to see what was behind wall number one and we got a little carried away. Now wall number 2 and 3 are down as well as some of the ceiling.

We live in a century home that needs alot of TLC and winter time is the only time of year that Husband can do those kind of things around the house.

Our plan is to open up those two small rooms and make one larger room. I'm not too crazy about having company come into my home and see our dirty laundry but there is no other place in the house to put the washer and dryer. And we need to make the bathroom counter larger and the toilet needs to not lean to the right. Yes, the floor needs replacing too!

So how did I break my bumm you ask?!

Well, I was carrying stuff from the laundry room upstairs to the play room to store it there until after the renovations were done. On the way back down the stairs - which by the way, are wooden and curve around - I slipped and fell down the last six steps. Now my butt really hurts!!

I am just thankful that I didn't break a leg or hip....you know at my age and all! Especially since I have every weekend from now until Christmas booked. That would have been a real bummer to be in the hospital over the next few weeks. Ha, ha....get it ....bummer!

Time off work

I might need time off work. No, really!! I had a dream that my step-father passed away. Therefore, I might need time off work.

You may not find the humour in this so let me explain. The boss hog has hired many, many people in the past two months to come work in the pig barn where I work. Unfortunately, of the seven recent employees hired only one has showed up. The most common reason for not showing up is that someone in their family has died.

Therefore, I might need time off work.
