The Woman

Some of you have requested more information about The Woman that I mentioned in my previous post. Well you asked....

I had a previous notion that The Woman wasn't that bad after all and others may have been too hard on her with their opinions. I'm so sorry and deaply regret any previous judgements.

You know the saying "you don't really get to know a person until you've lived with them"? Well we didn't live with The Woman for the past week but lived next door to her.

Day 1 - 3 included lectures every time you were within listening distance about what she considered to be modest and what she considered to be appropriate dress for women. Recently our pastor preached on women wearing pants and three weeks later she was still boiling over the issue. I say if she is that upset about it then she is being convicted over it. She should either change or get over it. She wants to wear pants and doesn't like to be called "a cross dresser". Pastor did mention at the end of his sermon that what women chose to wear was their choice, he was just trying to point out the scriptures point of view. She obviously missed that part.

Day 1- 7 included speaches on her sons behaviour and what good kids they were. The little brats. She wasn't in the boat to hear the older one say to the younger "shut up you little kid", etc, etc. I was ready to haul off and punch him one. All father did was say the older ones name....like that had great effect.

Day 5 included a speach on how we are not to spank our children. Not that we had to...they were angels compared to the others. She was appalled to hear that the children may get a rap across the knuckles at the supper table if they are not behaving. Husband also mentioned that if children misbehave you can hold their head under water for up to two minutes before brain damage occurs. (Of course he would not do that) But you should have seen the look on The Womans face...priceless.

Day 1 - 7 included none stop talking. How annoying. All I wanted was peace and quite....not constant babble. Blah, blah, blah......

Day 6 we witnessed The Womans reprimand of her husband in front of everyone over their childrens behaviour. Poor husband can't wear the pants in the family because he is not allowed. I felt bad for him.

You had to ask about the Woman. Now you know the rest of the story. But we had a good time...really!

Maybe that's why The Woman was upset about the pants comment at church - she'd have to relinquish her leadership control in the home...she sounds awfully familiar...I don't think you could pay me enough to enjoy your week, but I'm glad you enjoyed it!
